Twisted Hobby's Slick build thread!

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3173441-The-brand-new-twisted-hobby-s-slick-super-lite-has-landed/page2

Hi everyone,

I was very excited to wake up to my first parcel delivery from twisted hobby’s, which was there latest creation the amazing looking slick super lite epp with all there recommended power set up which is X2 Cs-40DMG for the rudder and elevator X1 Cs-70MG for alieron X1 Crack series brushless speed controller 2a/5v X1 Twisted hobby’s 2203/46 Kv 1800 .

I was very keen to get on to the build, after opening the box I was amazed at the finish of the print being lovely and clear, I then found the hardware pack which makes the build really simple as lots of the carbon is already cut to length and all the servo horns and links are all included, no need to rummage around for stuff off of old models as everything is included.

I got my self a nice clean surface and started the build following the generic online instructions for the twisted hobby’s range which is very informative, the build starts with the model inverted so you build up the bottom first and every step making sure the model stays as straight as possible, once this is done the servos are next to be installed in to the pre cut slots along with the undercarriage.

Now for the exciting part I turned the model over and stand it on its spats for the first time before putting the top half of the fuselage in place, then the motor is installed which comes mounted on a very clever thrust vector unit which is linked to the rudder servo which makes the model do crazy flat spins and knifeedge loops (I chose not to install this straight away as I wanted to practice some smooth flying with the model).

All of a sudden after approximately 6 hours of building my slick it’s ready for its radio set up . To start with I run 2 flight modes one with 50% travel and 40% expo and one with 100% travel and 65% expo on all surfaces.

Now it is ready for its test prop hang in my work room lol straight away it felt positive and locked in and I had it torque rolling within 5 seconds of leaving my hand, so now I am super excited to get this model to my local sports hall.

After making it to the hall after a painful few days of waiting I got to fly this amazing looking model I done one circuit and had to do 2 clicks of trim and then I went into a routine and could not believe how positive and crisp this model felt.

The roll rate is incredible and does all the maneuvers with ease and feels like a high quality depron model in the air. Please see my pictures below of the un boxing, some of the build and the complete model l I am also very happy to answer any questions on here or via pm 😊 Available from any twisted hobby’s stockist around the world thanks for taking your time to read I hope you enjoy my pictures and videos. for more info, pics and videos please visit: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php…
